Reviews: Nifeliz ANG GT Race Car MOC Building Kit and Engineering Toy

I had thought about buying a race car building set for my son to celebrate his 12 years old birthday. As my son loved car models so much especially sports cars, you could see so many kinds of car models in his room. But it was his first time to have a supercar building kit.

Today we are going to review a thrilling race car building kit. First of all, let's get to know some details about it.

-Details-

This product is called Nifeliz ANG GT Race Car MOC Building Kit and Engineering Toy. This sports-car set consists of 2878 pieces and is a 1:10 scale super car model. From the appearance and name, it is not hard for us to know that this race car set is a modified version of Mercedes-AMG GT R “green hell magno”. At the first glance, I was attracted by its breathtaking color scheme. And the recommended age of this set is 16 and up.

Next up, let's open the box and see the stuff inside. A pile of component bags and an instructions pamphlet. 

We classified the bags by numbers, and totally there are 26 numbered bags of components. 

The five bags without number include two bags filled with 4 tires, 4 wheel rims, 5 black and 5 green linear hoses, 2 wide plastic flakes and 4 wheel spokes, and three bags containing things like fasteners and connectors.

Once my son received the birthday present, he was so excited that he wanted to start to build the set as soon as possible. As it was a little challenging for a 12-year-old boy to build a race car with such a bunch of components, I became an assistant of him. When he started to build the Nifeliz ANG GT Race Car MOC Building Kit and Engineering Toy, I always had to stand by and follow his orders. We had a lot of fun during the process and I believed that my son not only learned how to build the race car but also knew how to cooperate with others to complete a task, which improved his teamwork skills.

At the very beginning, we studied the instructions pamphlet and started to build step by step. As we both were green hands, the progress was so slow that it took us almost 3 hours to accomplish the first part - the nose of the car model. Wow, looking at the outcome, we felt that we had made a great progress, because “the beginning is the most difficult part”.

With the first part's experience, my son and I could cooperate better and accelerate our speed in the following task. The whole race car set took us more than 13 hours during which we found that the pistons should be squeezed to the very side not in the middle, or the engine linkage wouldn't be so obvious when the car moved.

Look at the gorgeous finished car model. The dimension of this race car model is 18.19in x 8.67in x 5.6in. Placing it on the shelf makes the whole shelf and even whole room bright instantly. We can't move our eyes away and I am firmly sure that I have made a wise choice.

-About Mercedes-AMG GT R-

To be honest, I haven't got so much experience and knowledge about supercars before. But my son knows plenty of things about the race cars. For choosing a cool set for my son, I did study something about the sport cars. And I utterly impressed by Mercedes-AMG vehicles. Every Mercedes-AMG vehicle is the product of craftsmen, designers, engineers and racers who live for a singular goal: Driving Performance.

And “one man, one engine” philosophy in some way means that the engines produced by those engine builders are unique specimens. The engines are technological, lightweight masterpieces that unpack an enormous amount of power with maximum energy efficiency. And each finished engine is given a tag bearing the signature of its creator, attesting to the quality of the engine.

Furthermore, the Mercedes-AMG GT R is a grand tourer produced in coupé and roadster body-styles by Mercedes-AMG. Never before has Mercedes-AMG packed so much motorsport technology into a production vehicle than into the new AMG GT R. Mercedes-AMG GT R gets unmatched motor-sports pedigree with an ideal sense of balance. Every element like its proportion to its sound reveals its purpose and its passion. The GT R is a high-performance variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT. The M178 engine in this variant is tuned to an output of 430 kW (585hp) at 6,250 rpm and 700 Nm (516 lb.ft) of torque at 5,500 rpm. The GT R accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 318 km/h (198 mph). And the extensively modified suspension, the new aerodynamics and the intelligent lightweight construction lay the foundations for an especially dynamic driving experience.

And the new exclusive colour "AMG green hell magno" alone establishes a visual link to the "Green Hell", the nickname for the legendary "North Loop" of the Nurburgring, emphasizing that the car's roots are firmly embedded in the racetrack.

-Features-

Staring at the completed Nifeliz ANG GT Race Car MOC Building Kit and Engineering Toy, my son and I couldn't stop smiling. This stunning car is worthy of our more than 13 hours’ hard work. At this moment, we could appreciate the harvest and the features of the race car model joyfully. 

First of all, on the whole, the electroplated metallic painted pieces that faithfully recreate the peculiar green color of the real car are so attracive. And the low chassis design not only increases the stability and lowers the center of gravity of the car set, but also makes it cooler. 

The whole sports car consists of tech pieces and block items, which make the construction of the race car compact. And this supercar set is comparable with other 1:8 scale models.

Then, take a look at the front side. The low-slung front section and the forwards-inclined radiator grille create a distinctive "shark nose" impression. And the super-sized straight waterfall designed black air-inlet grille goes with linear lights on both sides, making a very savage look, like an aggressive shark opening its mouth, which creates a significant visual impact.     

Looking closer, we can find that the daytime running lights are represented by two transparent sticks separately, one is long and the other is short. They are held by three buckles inserted into the car. The shape they constitute can well reveal the headlights of the real car. 

And the front rail part is represented by three different green blocks in about 120 degrees angle, which can be a good representation of the oblique front rail part of the real car.

Down further, three black pieces are assembled together becoming the front lip and front splitter parts of the race car set. The wide front splitter like the real car's may also reduce lift at the front axle. 

Now, let's move our eyes to the hood of this car set. The two black pieces stand for the concave parts of the real car hood. And the black linear hoses, green linear hose and black and green pieces combining together show well the veins of the real car hood.

Incredibly, the hood can be opened and closed manually like a real one.

With the hood opened, the amazing simulated V8 engine unveils and comes to our eyes, which reminds us  of the real V8 engine. The AMG 4.0-litre V-8 engine features the tried-and-tested twin turbochargers, which are not mounted on the outside of the cylinder banks but rather inside the V configuration – experts call it a 'hot inside V'.

The design of simulated V8 engine is so detailed that the pistons can be seen clearly, especially when the car model moves. The engine linkage makes the pistons move like the real ones. 

Now looking from the side, it's so cool of course with the wheels toe out design. It seems that this race car is always ready to run like a tornado. 

The super eye-attracting things are the new shining electroplating wheel hubs, which are the same kind with Maybach's. 

Besides, the drilled and slotted brake discs of the race car set are designed like the real car's. The ones on the real car are no doubt a guarantee of better grip and certainly a more responsive and effective braking system. Moreover, the large size red calipers are another plus. The large size calipers of the real cars can highly improve the brake performance. 

In addition, the unidirectional rubber tires is a new custom-made design. It may want to highly improve the race car's performance to guarantee its high speed travelling, I wonder. 

Another amazing parts on the car both sides are the doors. Two elliptic cylinder pieces stand for the door handles of this car kit. The doors can be opened and closed with counterclockwise and clockwise rotation of the handles to 45 degrees. No harsh opening and closing the doors are suggested, or the doors may be damaged.

With the door opened, we can find the inner part of door handle design clearly and the most important link is an elastic band, which makes the door opened and closed manually possible.

The side view mirrors can be rotated if the positions need to be adjusted. The mirror part is represented by a transparent plastic piece.

And under the side view mirror, we can see the V8 twin turbos unveiled on both sides.

Then down further, the side skirts are represented by two thin black plastic pieces, which are inserted into the car body at one end and the other end is fastened by three buckles. Thus the side skirts are stable in vertical but not in horizon, but this does not affect so much.

Here, let's look at the rear part of this race car. Double exhausts on both sides, huge rear wing and half-ring rear lights together constitute a fashion and grand wide rear part. I can almost imagine how cool it can be when the car drifts. 

Let's zoom in and focus on the two tail lights which are in half-ring shape and consist of three red see-through plastic pieces. It seems that we can see the red light coming out when this car brakes.

Under the rear bumper, there is a license plate here. AMG-T5019 may stand for some sequence or something else, I guess.

And down further, the exhausts are in gray. Looking at them, I appear to hear the roar of them when the car starts.

And then move our eyes to the rear trunk cover, which also can be opened and closed manually. The rear trunk of the car model isn't so large like the real car's. If you get the real car, I believe that the rear trunk won't be used usually as the inter-space is not so large. 

When the trunk cover closes, the huge rear wing can't be overlooked at all. The unique design not only looks menacing but also greatly improves airflow and rear end down-force. The rear wing of this kit is a highly duplicate of that of the real car. The wing blades are painted in the same color as the real vehicle's,  but its angles can't be adjusted like the real ones.

And then up to the roof of this sport car model, four wide black pieces are used to stand for the black transparent roof of the real car.

After we finish the exterior observation of this race car kit, let's take a look at the interior of it.

The two red seats make you want to try to sit on them at once. Watching the two seats, I can't stop thinking about what the feeling is if I sit on the real ones.

The simulated center console, especailly the free-standing central display part, is another eye-catching feature of this race car kit, which combines with two red seats giving our eyes irresistible impact.

Another feature of the interior part that attracts me most is the steering wheel linkage. If we turn the steering wheel, the front wheels turns left or right. That's so cool.

My son and I are so satisfied with this Nifeliz ANG GT Race Car OC Building Kit and Engineering Toy that we want to try another set next time.

All in all, the Nifeliz ANG GT Race Car MOC Building Kit and Engineering Toy is a must have if you like sports car models for building or collection. These features including its limited-edition electroplated metal paint, the new shining electroplating wheel rims, manually opened hood, doors and rear trunk cover, simulated V8 engine and free-standing central console and the steering wheel linkage and engine linkage are all the reasons for us to try this set. More importanly, this car set is highly simulated the real car, which makes my son and I want to play with the car model now and then.
